Facebook is an online community that is a popular form of social interaction via the website.

Its focus is in bringing people together and participation among their members. This ranges from adding comments or tags to a blog or message board post and video posts.

The services that it provides to its members include chat session from around the globe, links to people and friends everywhere and updated every few seconds on the latest happenings. People contribute by posting their information or any message that they want to relay to almost anyone who reads it.

People use this tool as a form of social outlet and interaction among friends, peers.

Ethical issues arising from facebook are infinite, in a way it is a personal journal of yourself but then it is open to everyone and anyone and they can access you profile from these, it is open to all sorts of exploitation and identity theft. It allows anyone to view all the information thaht is being posted in the web and could be a cause of chaos and problems.

It brings together friends and relatives from around the world as a form of communication in a very fast paced society. In geographic context, facebook is popular amongst teenagers and youngsters.

It lacks the personal touch and social interaction through a technology that uses a monitor and a keyboard and yet its impact has greatly influenced the society and the people in it.
